About env.dev

A central, trustworthy hub for developers.

Our mission

env.dev exists to give developers a single, reliable place to find the tools, references, and guides they need — without ads getting in the way of usefulness, without paywalls, and without requiring an account.

Everything on the site is free to use. We believe developer tooling and knowledge should be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level or location.

What we offer

  • Developer tools — client-side utilities like JSON formatters, Base64 encoders, UUID generators, JWT debuggers, and more. All processing happens in your browser — no data leaves your device.
  • Guides — comprehensive, long-form guides on topics from Git basics to Docker Compose environment variables to CORS.
  • Cheatsheets — quick-reference pages for regex, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, SSH, Terraform, and more.
  • AI resources — a curated directory of AI coding tools, getting-started guides, and prompt techniques.
  • MCP servers & skills — resources for AI coding workflows with Claude Code and similar tools.

The ecosystem

env.dev is part of a family of developer reference sites:

  • env.dev — developer tools, guides, cheatsheets, and AI resources.
  • process.env.dev — a searchable reference for 242+ environment variables across AWS, Azure, Docker, Node.js, and more.
  • constants.env.dev — a reference for 222+ programming constants across JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, and Java.

Who we are

env.dev is built and maintained by the env.dev team. We are based in the European Union.
